NextEra Energy Inc | Series I Junior Subordinated Debentures due November 15, 2072 (NEE.PRI)
Prospectus exerpt: The Series I Junior Subordinated Debentures (the "Junior Subordinated Debentures") will bear interest at 5.125% per year. NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc. ("NEE Capital") will pay interest on the Junior Subordinated Debentures on February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15 of each year, beginning February 15, 2013. The Junior Subordinated Debentures will be issued in registered form and in denominations of $25 and integral multiples thereof. The Junior Subordinated Debentures will mature on November 15, 2072. NEE Capital, at its option, may redeem the Junior Subordinated Debentures at the times and the prices described in this prospectus supplement. NEE Capital may defer interest payments on the Junior Subordinated Debentures on one or more occasions for up to 10 consecutive years per deferral period as described in this prospectus supplement. Deferred interest payments will accrue additional interest at a rate equal to the interest rate on the Junior Subordinated Debentures, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
