In afternoon trading on Friday, Financial stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 0.4%. Within that group, Zions Bancorporation, N.A. (NASDAQ:ZION) and Extra Space Storage Inc (NYSE:EXR) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 2.3% and 2.0%, respectively. Among financial ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (NYSE:XLF), which is up 0.1% on the day, and up 7.95% year-to-date. Zions Bancorporation, N.A., meanwhile, is down 2.25% year-to-date, and Extra Space Storage Inc, is down 6.86% year-to-date. ZION makes up approximately 0.1% of the underlying holdings of XLF.

The next best performing sector is the Consumer Products sector, higher by 0.3%. Among large Consumer Products stocks, J.M. Smucker Co. (NYSE:SJM) and Mondelez International Inc (NASDAQ:MDLZ) are the most notable, showing a gain of 2.0% and 1.6%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Consumer Products stocks is the iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (IYK), which is up 0.4% in midday trading, and up 2.93% on a year-to-date basis. J.M. Smucker Co., meanwhile, is down 4.26% year-to-date, and Mondelez International Inc, is down 0.37% year-to-date. Combined, SJM and MDLZ make up approximately 14.6% of the underlying holdings of IYK.
