American Capital Mortgage Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: MTGE) ("MTGE" or the "Company") announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. The Company has applied to list the Series A Preferred Stock on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol "MTGEP". -- updated 5/15 - American Capital Mortgage Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: MTGE) ("MTGE" or the "Company") announced today that it has priced a public offering of 2 million shares of its 8.125% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, liquidation preference of $25.00 per share, for estimated gross proceeds of $50 million. MTGE has also granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 300,000 shares of Series A Preferred Stock for 30 days following this offering. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on or about May 22, 2014. |
MTGE Investment invests in, finances and manages a portfolio of real estate-related investments, which include agency residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), non-agency securities, other mortgage-related investments and other real estate investments. Agency RMBS include residential mortgage pass-through certificates and collateralized mortgage obligations. Non-agency securities include securities backed by residential mortgages that are not guaranteed by a government-sponsored enterprise or U.S. Government agency and credit risk transfer securities.
